Dan Uggla hit an RBI single in the 10th inning soon after a suspended game resumed, and the Atlanta Braves beat the New York Mets 7-5 Saturday for their seventh straight win.
Friday night's game was halted because of rain after eight innings with the score 5-all.
The game picked up right where it left off, at the start of the ninth inning. There was no national anthem, fans were scattered in the stands and it was cloudy and windy with temperatures in the low 50s.
The Mets lost their fourth in a row. Atlanta and New York were originally scheduled to play Saturday at 7:10 p.m. The resumption ended about 20 minutes before that start time, and the first pitch was pushed back 15 minutes.
